[iggy lifestyle]: iggy delicious water experience / I am a creatine person now
I recently read this post about consuming creatine optimally via scooping it into your mouth and washing it down with water. I tried that but it occurred to me that I already consume several teaspoons of dissolved powder, in consistent quantities, every single day, in the form of Iggy Delicious Water Experience.
Iggy Delicious Water Experience is my highly rational alternative to Crystal Light, which is a fruity non-caloric drink mix, sort of like Kool-Aid for adults. Aside from 1-3 glasses of milk a day it is the only thing I drink.

It contains:
- ~70% Equal brand artificial sweetener
- ~27% True Lime artificial lime flavoring
- ~3% Artificial vanilla flavoring
- (and now, creatine)
My issue with Crystal Light is that it is probably slightly more acidic than I'd really prefer to drink all the time and even worse, it is dyed. I really hate having artificially dyed drinks because I have to worry a lot about staining things with them, which is a completely artificial problem. “Surely there are undyed non-caloric fruity drink mixes” you might say, but not really, as they are generally always high on electrolytes or caffeine, neither of which I wish to supplement. Or they don't taste very good.
I drink about 6 tsp of Iggy Delicious Water Experience a day, which is the amount you need in order to properly flavor 64oz of water, which I generally try my best to consistently drink. So if I add 1 parts creatine to 3 parts Iggy Delicious Water Experience, and go to 8 tsp a day, then thats 2 tsp of creatine!
I find that the creatine adds a slightly gritty texture, especially early into the water experience while it's still dissolving, and I actually like it. It's very subtle but adds a pleasing, very delicate crunch when I chomp my teeth.
I like this method because I am not very good at starting new habits, and this way, I can simply continue an existing habit (and importantly, a habit I only associate with delicious pleasure, which cannot be said about scooping dry powder into my mouth).
I will be experimenting with other vitamins and nootropics to add to the mix, such as magnesium if it doesn't taste bad. Let me know if you have any ideas!
addendum
I tried putting it in milk to make Iggy Delicious Milk Experience, and surprisingly, it was quite good. It tasted very different. Like, you wouldn't really think it was the same thing. The lime is much more subtle in the milk than in the water, but insofar that you taste it, makes the whole thing taste like a key lime pie flavored milk, which is not a flavor of milk I've ever had. So yeah, that's interesting.
